Look on the back of your computer to see what type of video outputs are available. Desktop computers will always have a VGA or DVI output, some will have a S-Video output.

Below are pictures of the three most common video outputs found on desktop computers. Select the one you have or want to use.

S-Video. Separated Video or Super Video. For the technical details follow this link to Wikipedia. Some computers will have one S-Video output. This is the easiest way to connect to your CRT TV.

DVI. Digital Visual Interface. Read all about it here. If you have a newer computer you may have one or two of these outputs.
