Step 3. What type of video output does your computer have?

Look on the back of your computer to see what type of video outputs are available. Desktop computers will always have a VGA or DVI output, some will have a S-Video output.

Below are pictures of the three most common video outputs found on desktop computers. Select the one you have or want to use. 

S-Video. Separated Video or Super Video. For the technical details follow this link to  Wikipedia. Some computers will have one S-Video output. This is the easiest way to connect to your CRT TV.
